Electric Vehicle Training

Are you an EV Ready collision repair business?

Hybrid Vehicle Battery

With both hybrid and full electric cars taking a strong hold on vehicle sales across the UK, it’s inevitable that repairers will now see these vehicles entering their work mix. In readiness for this EV revolution, Grove have partnered with two fully accredited training providers to support our customers with the necessary safety awareness, knowledge, practical skills, recognised qualifications, necessary tooling and PPE required to become an EV Ready collision repair business.

The safety of workshop staff is paramount in any business where damaged electric vehicles are entering the workplace. These vehicles present new, potentially lethal risks to staff if they are untrained, unaware or ill-prepared for the safe handling and management of damaged electric vehicles.

Grove’s new EV Ready programmes offer all the training and support needed for your staff to achieve industry recognised qualifications, helping to keep them safe and efficient. Delivered in partnership with RWC Training and Crash Repair Solutions we offer two training pathways to become EV Ready.

Two qualification routes

IMI Accreditation or Competence Qualifications?

IMI Accreditation is a national scheme which tests the current competence of individuals working in the retail automotive industry. Courses are typically delivered in a day or less and feature onsite training followed by an assessment. All successful delegates will achieve a formally recognised qualification at a level which is appropriate for their job role. Learn more about becoming “EV Ready” via IMI Accreditation…

City & Guilds Competence Qualifications are nationally-recognised vocational qualifications that demonstrate, to a national standard, competency in the workplace. These qualifications are practically-based and are assessed in the workplace across a range of tasks. These typically take 2 or more years and are suitable for apprentices and those already in employment who wish to achieve a qualification that demonstrates competence in the workplace. The right equipment

Working on electric vehicles can be dangerous and comes with unique challenges. Help to ensure the safety of your staff with our Fully Compliant High Voltage Safety Equipment Pack.

These safety equipment items are required as a minimum for qualified technicians to be fully compliant and more importantly to work safely on electric powered vehicle systems.

Our fully compliant high voltage safety equipment pack can be purchased with or without a company branded mobile EV shadow board.

Essential for safe and secure storage, the EV shadow board allows a technician to transport everything needed to the vehicle’s location quickly and easily, like a mobile work station.

Bundle package price which includes all the equipment items listed but without the EV shadow board: £1,200.00

Bundle package price which includes all equipment items listed complete with your company branded mobile EV shadow board included (as shown in image): £2,245.00.
